Shotgun 101 is intended for anyone interested in learning about the shotgun platform. This course provides educational instruction about the fundamentals of shotgun including proper presentation techniques, marksmanship fundamentals, loading and unloading procedures along with security.

Safety conditions
Common shotgun malfunctions
Shotgun set up
Gear & equipment set up
Duty/carry ammo Considerations

Pre-requisite: Concealed Weapons License or Background check

Range Gear:

• Semi-auto. shotgun (one will be provided upon request for $35 plus ammo.)
• 25-50 rds. Birdshot
• 10-15 rds. Buckshot
• 5-10 slugs
• Dump pouch/carrier for shells (Not required, but highly recommended)
• Eye protection
• Electronic ear protection

Range Attire:

• Cap or Wide Brimmed hat
• Long pants with belt loop and sturdy belt
• Sturdy closed-toe shoes

Other:

• Water (enough to remain hydrated)
• Lunch & snacks as needed
• Note taking materials
