Level Two of Women’s Basic and Self Defense Training Series.

This course qualifies to apply for Concealed Weapons License.

USCCA’s “Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals” is a welcoming and engaging training guide created by a woman for women who are seeking to begin, improve upon, or add to their firearms skills.

Next Level is designed and presented as a beginner program focusing on instilling competency and consistency in the fundamentals of shooting a handgun. Safe weapons handling skills are constantly reinforced and getting the student safe and comfortable with a handgun on the range is the main goal.  With successful completion this course qualifies you to apply for the Florida Concealed Weapons License.  We will also cover what you need to know for Constitutional Carry as well as a qualifying for the Florida Concealed Weapons License.

The USCCA Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals course is a level approach to beginning and developing a self-defense strategy, with the use of a firearm.

Once you’ve built up confidence and have an understanding of the basic skills and fundamentals of operating a handgun, you’ll move on to the intermediate stages of pistol training. This course is designed to build upon the fundamentals you’ve developed in Basic Pistol for Women Level 1.

Here, you will explore the different types of firearms and ammunition, plus tips and tactics for picking handgun holsters. You will also participate in drills that will challenge your skills while pushing you to the next level. The overall goal of this course is to build your comfort and confidence while actively training.

The course is part of Five Level Series of Training

  • Women’s Basic Pistol Level 1  (Basic Handgun: Marksmanship / Firearm Safety / Range Rules / Situational Awareness)
  • Women’s Intermediate Pistol Level 2  (Law & Use review in Florida / Carry Options / Self Defense with Handgun)
  • Women’s Defensive Pistol Level 3  (Drawing from OWB Holster / Accuracy with Speed)
  • Women’s Self Defense Options Level 4 (Pepper Spray / Knives / Situational Awareness)
  • Women’s Inside the Waiste Band Holster Options (Drawing from IWB Holsters with options)

 

Florida Firearm Law & Use

In the class we will be reviewing the Florida Statute 790.06. to learn how and where to carry your firearm properly in the State of Florida. Please review Section 790.06, Florida Statutes.

  • This is an intermediate level class. Students must have successfully taken Women’s Basic Handgun Level One

You Will Need to Bring

  • Quality functional handgun
  • 3 or more magazines
  • New Factory FMJ Ammo (No Steel Casing or reloads)
  • Speed Loader
  • Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
  • Electronic Earmuffs and earplugs
  • Med Kit
  • Range Gear

 

Optional Items to Bring

  • Please bring a healthy lunch, snacks and water
  • Note taking material
  • If you have optics, bring extra batteries and adjustment tools
  • Camping Style Chair
  • Bug spray / sunscreen

 

Range Attire

  • Clothing suitable for training in any weather
  • Cap or Wide Brimmed hat
  • No loose-fitting shirts at the neck, tank tops,v-neck, etc… (to avoid brass from entering shirt)
  • Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning.
