FIREARM SAFETY & HANDLING WITH HANDGUNS 101

 This course is designed and presented as an entry level program focusing on introducing students to modern handguns, particularly the semi-automatic handgun.

Students learn rules for safe gun handling including:

• Pistol parts and operation
• Ammunition types
• Shooting fundamentals
• Range rules
• Along with continued opportunities for skill development.

Course Length:  4-4.5 hrs

Prerequisites: This is an introductory level class, there are no prerequisites

• Instruction
• Range time
• Targets

You will need to bring:

• Firearm in good working condition     (if you don’t have your own firearm or can’t bring it for class you can rent one for $10 plus ammo.  Please leave a remark in comments if you need a firearm.)
• Ammo 50rds
• Eye Protection
• Electronic Ear Protection
• Notebook & pen to take notes.
• Snack/lunch & water

Range Attire:

• Cap or Wide Brimmed hat
• No loose-fitting shirts at the neck, tank tops,v-neck, etc… (to avoid brass from entering shirt)
• Long pants
• Sturdy closed-toe shoes
