HANDGUNS 103 – with Ron Stambaugh

This course is designed and presented as an intermediate level program focusing on the safe and efficient drawstroke and presentation of the semi-automatic handgun.  Competency and consistency in the fundamentals of shooting and safe weapons handling skills will continue to be reinforced.

Course Length  4-5 hours

Prerequisites  This is an intermediate level class.  Students must have successfully taken HG 102 or an equivalent course.

Location

We will be meeting at Harry Beckwith Guns & Range.  Doors open at 8:30am.  Please arrive early, as we may not permit late arrivals.  After the classroom portion we will be going to a private outdoor range in Newberry.

• Pistol in good working order with at least 3 magazines
• Belt mounted, dominant side OWB (Outside the Waistband Holster)
• Magazine pouch
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5″ wide
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
• Casual, comfortable clothing suitable for training in any weather
• Hydration system
• Sunscreen and bug spray
• Hat with a brim
• Hearing protection
• Wrap-around eye protection
• Note taking materials and highlighter
