$200.00Red Dot Optics on pistols are becoming more popular as options for everyday carry. Part of mastery is training – here it is!
Pre-requisites: Must have already taken a Handgun 102 & OWB Holster training or equivalent training.

- Zeroing your red dot. 10 yard zero. 25 yard confirmation. Ammo selection.
- Draw and how to stop fishing for the dot. Why back up irons are necessary?
- Only use the necessary amount of information required to make an acceptably accurate shot at the speed and distance required.
- Red dots up close. 5 yards and in.
- Red dots at distance
- Speed: Efficiency of draw and presentation. No Concealed holsters, only Outside the waistband holster setups. Micro Drill training method.
- Dot tracking: Grip, stance, dot movement, predictability.
- Modes of Practice: Speed mode. Accuracy Mode. Real Mode.
- How to get better on your own. Dry fire for skill building. Live fire for confirmation.
- Target transitions
- Shooting on the move
- Why you should compete
Course Length: 5 hrs
Ammunition: 400rds of new factory FMJ ammo (No reloads or steel casing)
Location: Pickett Weaponry Service 25220 W Newberry Rd Newberry, FL 32669
Arrive at least 45 minutes prior. Training will take place off site at a private range in Newberry.
Age: 18yrs and older

You Will Need to Bring
- Quality functional semi-automatic pistol with Red Dot Optic– Full size and compact pistols only
- OWB Holster (No Sherpas Holster)
- 3 magazines minimum
- New Factory FMJ Ammo (No Steel Casing or reloads)
- Speed loader
- Eye Protection (We prefer wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses)
- Electronic earmuffs or earplugs
- Cleaning kit
- Optic tools & extra batteries
Other:
- Please make sure to bring food and water as it is not provided
- Note taking material.
Range Attire:
- Clothing suitable for training in any weather
- Pants must have belt loops with a sturdy belt
- Closed-toed shoes and suitable for rapid movement and turning
- Cap or Wide Brimmed hat
- No loose-fitting shirts at the neck, tank tops,v-neck, etc… (to avoid brass from entering shirt)
Optional for the private outdoor range in Newbery, but highly recommended:
- Sports/Camping Chair
- Sunscreen
- Electrolyte Drink example: Liquide IV
- Cooling Towel example: Mission Stay Cool
