DESCRIPTION:The NRA Defensive Pistol Course will focus on the techniques needed to develop a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to develop the knowledge\, skills\, and attitude necessary to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically\, responsibly\, and with confidence. \nInstructor: Ron Stambaugh \nPrerequisites: This is an advanced course. You must have basic experience in shooting firearms and firearms safety.  \nAgenda: \n\nAs a result of participating in this course\, the student will be able to explain and demonstrate the following: How to apply the NRA Rules for Safe Gun Handling when carrying a concealed firearm.\nBasic principles of concealment\nCover and concealment\nDrawing from the holster\nLevels of mental awareness\nDeveloping the proper mindset when using a pistol for personal protection\nClearing common stoppages\nStudents will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection Outside the Home handbook\, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and the NRA Defensive Pistol certificate. This course is only conducted by NRA Certified Advanced Pistol Instructors.\n\nCourse Length:  8 hours \nAmmunition: 200 rds. \nCost: $125 \nIncluded: \n\nInstruction\nRange Time\nTarget\nNRA Defensive Pistol Student Examination\n\nRequired Minimum Equipment You will need to bring: \n\nFirearm in good working condition     (If you don’t have your own firearm or can’t bring it for class you can rent one for $25 plus ammo.  This includes firearm\, extra mags\, and OWB holster.  You must contact Michelle at least 3 days prior to class to rent the firearm and equipment)\nAmmo 200rds (No steel casing or reloads)\nEye Protection\nElectronic Ear Protection\n\nRange Attire: \n\nCap or Wide Brimmed hat\nNo loose-fitting shirts at the neck\, tank tops\,v-neck\, etc… (to avoid brass from entering shirt)\nLong pants\nSturdy closed-toe shoes\n\nOther: \n\nLunch & snacks as needed\nWater (enough to remain hydrated)\nNote taking material\n\n  \nBy completing enrollment in this event you confirm that you have read and agree to our Terms of Sale / Cancelation Policy
