Concealed Carry Options with Ross Begnaud

Deep concealed carry options will be explored, and students will be encouraged and allowed to draw from numerous concealed locations utilizing safe and efficient drawstroke and presentation methods. Competency and consistency in the fundamentals of shooting and safe weapons handling skills will be expected.

Equipment Requirement:

Gear:

  • Firearm in good working condition
  • If you have an optic bring extra batteries & tools
  • At least 2 extra mags

Holsters:           

  • An outside the waistband (OWB)
  • Rigid inside the waistband (IWB)
  • Appendix carry holster

***Bring all three different types of holsters

***Collapsible holsters will NOT be allowed

*** Serpa Style Holsters will NOT be allowed

Clothing:

  • Button up shirt
  • Polo style shirt
  • Big shirt or hoody
  • Jacket or vest

****Bring all required covered garments.

  • Sturdy closed-toe shoes

AG and AG Gainesville Monthly Meetings

This is a shooting club established by Michelle Pickett in 2010 for women shooters. Over the years we have belong to different National Leagues.  Currently we are with A Girl and A Gun National Shooting League and have enjoyed being part of the sisterhood.  

AG & AG events are intended to be fun, social gatherings where women can come together for support, encouragement, ask questions in a safe and nonjudgmental environment, improve on their marksmanship, and bond together in the shooting community.

 

We offer open discussion each month usually on the 2nd Tuesday & 2nd Sunday of each month.  Here is a list of our topics for 2022.

Refusal or Removal of Student Policy

The instructor or/and Range Safety Officer reserve the right to remove any student from the course at anytime for unsafe handling of firearm, not following the rules or/and policy, and not coming to the course with required equipment.

The instructor or/and Range Safety Officer also has the right to refuse to allow any student to use a firearm they feel is unsafe at the time of the course including and not limiting to the type of ammo.

If this happens the student will be allowed to stay and observer, the course. Depending on the situations the instructor may allow the student to return to another course or not at all. No refund or credit of any kind will be given.

AG and AG Range Time at Harry Beckwith Guns & Range

The range will be open at 9am just for our members to work on the shooting journal drill, quarterly match, personal training and FBI Qual.

1) GENERAL INFORMATION

- AG Range Members will need to bring Range Name Badge to have free access included in membership.

2) RANGE TIME at the INDOOR Range

This event is for AG & AG Members Only that have been range certified.
-You may draw from holster ONLY IF you have had holster training with us.

3) Bring all your range gear

-Medium or large frame firearm with extra mags
-Ammo
-Speed loader
-Eye protection[
-Electronic ear protection

Optional Range Gear:
-Outside of the waistband holster / OWB Holster. (You must be holster certified to draw from a holster)
*NO Serpa Holsters please
-Double or Two Singles mag pouch.

4) Suggestion to bring for the indoor range

-Snap caps/Dummy rounds
*Great training tool to use for malfunction drills
-Extra batteries for ear protection and optics
-Shooting Journal / Notebook
* Lots of training drills and perfect way to track your training
-Snacks & water (electrolytes like Liquid I.V)

5) Range Attire

-Ball cap
-Sturdy belt, if you are wearing a holster

6) Meeting Policies for Members

- Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to sign-in.
- Everyone must attend the full safety briefing to use the range. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- All firearms must stay in a holster or range bag at all times unless instructed by facilitator or/and instructor.
- All proper disclosures and waivers must be signed and on file before entering the range.
- Attendees must understand and follow all safety rules while on property.
- Check-in on Team App

7) Facilitator and/or instructor has the discretion to allow the guest to use the range.

8) Payment is non-refundable or transferable.

Skill Builder: Handgun Cleaning for Semi-auto Handguns

We know owning a firearm is a lot of responsibility and cleaning is part of that responsibility.

If you have never cleaned a firearm before or are new to firearms we will show you how to disassemble and reassemble your firearm. This will be important to learn to clean your firearm for top performance. This class is designed to help the responsible gun owner learn and understand the best possible way to clean their particular firearm. 

We will provide all the cleaning supplies & tools needed to clean your firearm.  Plus you get to keep a cleaning kit from Clenzoil!

Cost: $49 per person for the first handgun and $20 for one additional handgun.

AR Essentials 101 with Ross Begnuad

AR Essentials 101 with Ross Begnuad

This is an introductory level course designed for concerned citizens. This preliminary program presents AR owners with the rudimentary knowledge needed to understand its functioning and safe handling. Students will be guided through the safe disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of their firearm. Range time will include the fundamentals of marksmanship as they pertain to the AR and essential tasks such as loading, unloading, obtaining zero, and firing their AR from the standing and prone positions. Our drills are designed to combine all the fundamentals skills necessary for engaging multiple targets while moving and shooting.

Skill Building Series: Handgun with Red Dot Optic with Ross Begnaud 

Time to take your shooting skills to the next level with this course built specifically around Red Dot Optic.  This is the major advancement in firearm technology giving shooters the advantage of shooting more accurate and on target faster.  Today will be be focusing on proper zeroing of your sight, “both eyes open” shooting, alternate aiming techniques, and achieving accuracy at distance.

Required:
This is an INTERMEDIATE level class. Student must demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, foundational marksmanship skills, and proficiency working from a holster. Students failing to immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required may be removed from training. Handgun/AR Carbine Combo Course (TWO Day Course)

Handgun/AR Carbine CombCourse (Two Day Training Course)

We’ve combined the most commonly used weapon platforms, the AR style carbine and the semi-automatic handgun, into a challenging and comprehensive skill building course.

Day 1 (Saturday, October 15th, 2022) will focus on the handgun and how to get it quickly and effectively into the fight and keep it there. We’ll cover everything from the draw stroke to one handed bi-lateral shooting.

Day Two (Sunday, October 16th, 2022) emphasizes the efficient and rapid deployment of the carbine. Skills from the presentation to bi-lateral engagements will be sharpened. We’ll tie the two together to complete the training.

AR15 Essentials with Tatiana Whitlock

This 8-hour class is an ideal program for the new and intermediate level AR15 shooter. A program developed specifically for new rifle owners to learn how to confidently handle, control and successfully shoot an AR15 style rifle. Pistol Caliber Carbines (PCC) are welcome in this class! We will thoroughly cover essential skill sets including safety, basic field stripping and cleaning, load & make-ready procedure, range safe ready position, sling set up and utilization and more as time permits. Come prepared to learn, laugh and make some noise!


EXPERIENCE LEVEL: No prior experience necessary! This is an excellent class for new shooters as well as a solid tune-up for more experienced shooters.
DURATION: 8hr course
COURSE FEE: $250
RANGE FEE: No Fee

EQUIPMENT

  • Working AR15 rifle chambered in 5.56/223/9mm (PCC rifles welcome!)
  • Iron sights and/or optic of your choice. Please come with your sights zeroed!
  • Minimum of three (3) 30-round magazines
  • 200 rounds of ammunition
  • Cleaning Kit with a general, all-purpose, cleaner/lubricant
  • Rifle Sling. Two-Point Rifle Sling (Magpul MS1 or MS2 slings highly recommended)

ATTIRE: Range appropriate attire: long pants, closed-toe shoes, high collared shirt. Brimmed ball caps recommended but not required.
